The forensic science technicians are the ones who gather physical evidence at the crime scene that will determine if the accused is guilty or not. They carefully examine and determine this evidence to see if there is a bond between the accused and the victim.
A forensic technician can also perform ballistic tests on guns, match DNA samples, and solve crimes by matching of fingerprints. They also prepare reports and presentations of their findings.
There so many things required to be a good forensic technician. One should be good in reasoning and critical thinking. He must be curious, has personal integrity and must easy to get along with others. He must also be excellent in writing and speaking. Moreover, he must be bachelor’s degree holder and it is much of a help if he has background knowledge on legal terms and procedures. Being well trained on subjects of math, chemistry and physics is important.
